Women’s college soccer is regarded as a major sport, with approximately 20,000 players competing within the NCAA, NAIA & NJCAA associations. There are more than 1,200 women’s college soccer programs.

When is the best time to start the process?
In your Junior year at High school (Aged 16 if an international). The recruitment process can be lengthy and Soccer programs do tend to recruit early.
What level player do I need to be?
For top ranked D1 programs you will be expected to be competing at a high standard in your state and in some cases at an international level.
What’s it like to be a college soccer athlete?
It’s an exciting but demanding experience. Combining full time studies with a full-time training and games schedule.
When does the Soccer season run?
The Women’s college soccer season runs each fall with the national championships taking place in November/December. However there our proposal’s in place to extend this into the spring season.
Is there a pathway to professional Soccer?
Yes, this is possible. A vast number of Female players each year enter the NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League) from college soccer.
